CADBIM was contacted back in 2021 to begin implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) at the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD), actively collaborating in the maturation of the process within the organization.

Project Challenges

One of the main challenges was aligning the commercial and technical needs of the implementation, complicated by the large size of the engineering team, which includes diverse disciplines such as architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, plumbing, and air conditioning, in addition to purchasing and approval teams. Standardizing the process also proved to be a significant obstacle, especially during the initial diagnostic phase in 2023.

Implemented Solutions

After completing the diagnosis, CADBIM initiated the standardization process, which was fundamental for aligning the teams. Detailed meetings with leaders from each sector were essential to understand and redefine work processes, inputs, and outputs.

Based on this information, it was possible to design an efficient approval process within the chosen BIM platform. Simultaneously, we implemented a robust training and capacity-building plan, customized for each department involved.

Next Steps

We are currently preparing to launch a pilot project in the coming months, which will include the development of standardized families and templates for all project teams. This step is crucial to ensure the continuity and success of BIM integration in the project management of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD).
