How C&A began its digital transformation with BIM.

When C&A decided to structure its processes with greater efficiency and standardization, it found a strategic partner in Cadbim.

Together, they built a scalable BIM governance model, with training, customized BEP, and concrete results.

1. The challenge

C&A faced difficulties common to large retail companies:

• Lack of standardization between projects;
• Teams with varying skill levels;
• Manual and fragmented processes;
• The need to align the transformation with the routine of the operation, without disruption.

Furthermore, the teams were working with traditional tools, such as 2D CAD and spreadsheets, compromising the integration between technical areas.

No ready-made formulas: the focus was on understanding the real-world scenario, offering continuous technical support, and creating solutions applicable to everyday life.

• A comprehensive diagnosis of existing workflows and deliverables;
• In-person and online training (Revit, Navisworks, and BEP application) for 3 distinct groups;
• Development of a BIM Execution Plan (BEP) exclusively for C&A;
• Creation of the initial BIM repository with standardized templates, families, tables, and nomenclatures.

At the end of the process, C&A not only adopted BIM, but also gained a solid foundation to scale this methodology throughout its operation.
